Craftalot came about when I was tired of loading up my car with crafts and heading to various craft shows. The costs of inventory, transportation and space rental makes this an expensive proposition.  I knew that there had to be a better way.  My husband suggested I look into selling my crafts online.  The trouble was that I couldn't find a site that tailored to craft artisans with the kind of special care and attention that they need, so I decided to create a new site that is tailored for individual artisans and offers them the ability to expand their market reach and have an inexpensive online presence.
